About Trevor Anderson

Trevor Anderson is a self-taught filmmaker and musician who lives and works in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He has written and directed five short films: RUGBURN (2005), ROCK POCKETS (2007), DINX (2008), CARPET DIEM (2008) and THE ISLAND (2008). His films have screened at dozens of international film festivals. RUGBURN has been broadcast in the USA by MTV. At the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival in Toronto, ROCK POCKETS won the inaugural Lindalee Tracey Award, presented to "an emerging Canadian filmmaker working with passion, humour, a strong sense of social justice and a personal point of view." DINX and ROCK POCKETS are currently shortlisted for the Iris Prize in Cardiff, Wales. CARPET DIEM and THE ISLAND will both be released in Fall 2008. Trevor also plays music with his band THE WET SECRETS (www.wetsecrets.ca)
